Eating healthy; fruits and drinks

I’m back with another post on eating healthy…yipeee. This time around, the focus is on fruits and drinks. I have realized it’s a bit difficult for me to keep up with EATING HEALTHY. I am not a food person, I could go a whole day with just snacks and a drink and sometimes I even forget to eat. So if you are like me and you find it challenging keeping up that healthy food habit, this post is for you. Sit back, relax and have a good read.

People often underestimate the importance of vegetables, fruits and drinks. Since I don’t eat vegetables (unless it’s been blended to a puree), the focus here is on fruits and drinks. Due to either laziness, availability or affordability, we tend to go for soda (fizzy drinks) whenever we want a drink. I don’t need to give a sermon on how that is bad practice. Recently, I have been loving the ‘Chivita active’ fruit juice. I have tried out at least 5 different flavours so far and I’m loving it. Another pleasant surprise with ‘Chivita active’ is that they also have vegie blends; the vegetable fruit nectar (which is a combination of fruits and vegetables) eg. this beetroot and apple flavour.

So here I am recommending it to all of you, try it out guys, it feels refreshing, especially the citrus variety. If you still haven’t figured out the point I’m trying to make, here it is…REDUCE YOUR SODA INTAKE AND DRINK MORE FRUIT JUICE.

Fruits

Now let’s talk about the fruits. If you have a habit of eating fruits daily, good for you.Β But if you are one of those that either forget to, or think fruits are of no importance, then this is FOR YOU. Fruits are a necessary part of our daily meal. Eating fruits doesn’t have to be boring though, it could be in the form of fresh juice, smoothie, fruit salad or plain old boring ‘eating it whole’. I have been loving the fruits so far and it’s not as expensive as I thought it would be. I hope I don’t get tired soon *fingers crossed*. To spice things up, you could mix 2 or more fruits as a smoothie blend, you can check out my post onΒ BANANA SMOOTHIE MIXΒ or a juice blend. If you have been doing this as part of your daily routine, then let this serve as some form of encouragement to continue.
