Yves Rocher

Yves Rocher hydra vegetal | A facial routine that works

Yves Rocher is a french brand (originating from France) that specializes in a variety of specialized skin care products.

I never really saw the importance of facial routines till a couple of weeks ago when I started breaking out. I was reacting to basically everything I used (I guess my skin was tired of all those chemicals). The confusing thing is that I hadn’t added any new products to my collection, I was using my usual daily products.

Well, it was so bad to the extent that I had to stop using make-up, not even lipgloss. I went to work bare-faced for a couple of days but the break-out still wasn’t letting up. I then decided to go on a search for a SOLUTION.

My first stop; Yves Rocher at Jabi lake mall, was actually my last stop. I went in there and explained to them what was going on. The lady picked out a couple of their products, explained what they do and how to use them. I didn’t know anything about the brand, but for some reason, I had ‘faith’ it was gonna work.

After getting the products recommended for my face, I decided to check out other skin care products in stock. Maybe I shouldn’t have because I was tempted to buy almost everything that smelled nice. This included their shower gels and perfumes, mmmm, smelled divine. Although I came in to get facial products, the fragrance of their raspberry peppermint shower gel was just irresistable plus it’s exfoliating, so I got it.

I tried on the hydra vegetal range of products later that day, before going to bed. And I kid you not, the next day I saw a slight difference. And by day 2, the difference was evident. I’m still using the products, hoping that after about 2 weeks of daily usage, my skin would be glowing.

Disclaimer: In addition to using the Yves Rocher products, I also did a couple of things that I thought would help clear the break-out. To be honest, I think it’s a combination of these things that cleared out my skin as fast as it did.

These ‘things’ include:

  • staying make-up free for about a week, I think this gave my skin a break from all those chemicals
  • drinking more water. We all know water is very good for the skin; it keeps the skin freshly hydrated
  • stopping the use of tap water to wash my face. To be sincere I think this was the most effective of these things (second only to the use of the Yves Rocher products). I switched the tap water with ‘drinking’ water and well, it worked.
  • I’d love to add eating more healthy, taking a lot of fruits and vegetables but y’all know that’s a lie. So no lying here, my diet didn’t change.

You can shop these items by checking out their Lagos and Abuja (Jabi lake mall) stores.

Thank God I am in Abuja first of all, so I would look for this items. I went mak eup free for a month and nothing happened! I had to start wearing again, the amount of pimples on my face now is scaring me I cannot afford not to wear make up. I would ditch the tap water now and start using drinking water.

I just hope and pray these would work. thanks for the tips dear.

okay… I’ve had issues with my face severally, it keeps coming back. I don’t make up (don’t even know how to๐Ÿ˜‚), Plus once I’m under the sun, my face starts to hurt and itch. I think I’ll give these a try and see how it pans out.

Ezinne I hope it panned out *fingers crossed* If not, you could try using a face cream with spf, it would help protect your face from the harshness of the sun.
